I have been so caught up in the changes that I have not been intentional about reaching out to all of my supporters who are part of this journey with me. To start off I will just explain what this upcoming year is going to look like and how it has changed.

With various generous options from the organization, I have chosen to continue with my whole nine month gap year. Because of many countries closed to travel, World Race has decided to host its participants in Gainesville, Georgia (it’s headquarters), starting in September, until January, when we will (hopefully) fly out to start international mission work.

In GA we will gather to be discipled, learn how to disciple others, train more thoroughly for  mission work and continue to grow in community and our relationships with God.

Specifically-

Knowing and understanding Gods word

In missions

In community

In intimacy

In leadership

In fundraising

In storytelling

We will have devotionals, be taught, have team building, outreach, team time, and free time all daily.

Because of the adjustments, we have the opportunity to be more independent and make the choice to grow closer to teammates and others as well as be home for the holidays. And… we still get to  serve starting in January!!! (The plan being still our same chosen countries, but expected flexibility due to the uncertain opening up of borders in the next few months) Yes we’ll be missing out on a few months of traveling, and sadly a few friends due to many squad mates choosing a different direction for this next year. On the other hand, I get to prepare my heart further for this new adventure and meet so many new people from other routes, while in Georgia, that I wouldn’t have met before! At this point I am sad with all the missed opportunities and events from the past season, to the end of the year. But I am shaking in anticipation to run into this adventure with Abba leading the way!!

Here’s to keeping faith in the Lord- that his plan is good and trustworthy!!
